Do you support ASP pages and Access databases?

Currently, we do not support .NET architecture, ASP pages, Access Databases, COM objects, or Web Bots used in Microsoft web building products. These objects are only valid on Microsoft servers. As we run Linux based servers, these features are not supported.

If you are insistent on using your ASP, .NET, Access Databases, COM objects, you have the following options:

1. Don't Use the code or database. (Most likely not an option)
2. Re-program ASP .NET in CGI, PHP or another scripting language that is Linux compatible.
3. Convert the pages to PHP by using Microsoft’s conversion tool.
4. Find a Windows hosting company and move your site there.

We prefer that you choose #3 so here is the link for the conversion tool: http://asp2php.naken.cc/

As for Access Databases you can convert them to MySQL by using this link http://www.webthang.co.uk/tuts/tuts_dbase/convert/convert.asp

Sorry, we do not support Web Bots as they open up our servers to abuse.

Please keep in mind we do not support them or the conversion of any of the above items, this article is only to let you know your options.

We run a LAMP setup on our servers. We currently support MySQL, PostGreSQL, PHP, CGI, PERL, and Ruby On Rails.

Kindest Regards,

Happy@Net
